Avis accepte généralement les cartes de débit et les cartes de crédit Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club et Avis. Toutefois, certaines succursales peuvent ne pas accepter tous les types de cartes.

Au début de la location, Avis n'accepte pas les cartes prépayées ou les cartes à valeur stockée rechargeable, les cartes de voyage et les cartes EFTPOS. Avis n'accepte pas non plus les cartes présentées sur les téléphones et les montres et ne permet pas les modes de paiement sans contact comme payWave. Une carte de crédit physique ou de débit doit être présentée au début de la location. À la fin de la location, certaines succursales Avis accepteront une carte prépayée ou une carte à valeur stockée rechargeable comme mode de paiement final.

Remarque : Les locations payées au moyen d'une carte de crédit/débit valide seront assujetties à des frais de transaction de 1,29 % (incluant la TPS) au moment de la prise en charge.

Payer maintenant : Si les noms figurant sur la carte de crédit ne correspondent pas à la carte de crédit utilisée lors de la réservation, cela peut être considéré comme un changement non autorisé à votre réservation de Payer maintenant Vous devrez peut-être annuler et réserver à nouveau aux tarifs actuels (y compris les frais d’annulation raisonnables et applicables).

Avis Australie peut exiger d'un client louant un véhicule qu'il remplisse un formulaire de Conditions requises pour louer un véhicule et de fournir des pièces d’identité supplémentaires si c’est jugé nécessaire ou approprié ou conformément à la loi en vigueur. Le conducteur doit (i) détenir un permis de conduire complet et valide (pas un permis d’apprenti, provisoire ou avec restrictions); (ii) avoir un permis de conduire international (PPI) ou une traduction officielle (si la licence n’est pas en alphabet romain); (iii) avoir détenu son permis pendant au moins 12 mois consécutifs immédiatement avant de signer le contrat de location.

Un permis de conduire international n’est pas un document autonome et il doit être transporté avec votre permis de conduire national valide pour qu’il soit valide.

Les permis de conduire électroniques (avec validation adéquate) sont acceptés pour toutes les locations Avis. Tous les permis électroniques doivent être vérifiés au moment de la location, selon les procédures de validation en vigueur. Les photos ou captures d’écran du permis ne sont pas acceptées.

Un permis électronique ne remplace pas le permis physique. Vous devriez toujours avoir votre permis physique en votre possession lorsque vous voyagez à l’extérieur des territoires ou États qui l’ont émis.

Tous les conducteurs additionnels doivent remplir les mêmes conditions d'âge et de permis de conduire que le locataire. Des frais quotidiens peuvent être facturés pour chaque Conducteur additionnel. Des surtaxes de jeune conducteur pourraient s’appliquer.

L'âge minimum requis pour louer ou conduire un véhicule Avis est 21 ans. Tous les conducteurs doivent détenir un permis de conduire actuel, complet et valide, qui a été valide pendant au moins 12 mois consécutifs Des surtaxes de jeune conducteur pourraient s’appliquer.

Vous pouvez annuler votre réservation à tout moment en appelant le centre des réservations ou en gérant votre réservation en ligne (si disponible).

Pour les réservations Payer maintenant, en fonction du moment de l’annulation, des frais d’annulation ou des frais de non-annulation pourront vous être facturés.

• Si vous devez annuler au moins 24 heures avant l’heure de votre prise en charge prévue, vous serez remboursé du montant prépayé, moins des frais d’annulation jusqu’à concurrence de 82,50 AUD.
• Si vous devez annuler 24 heures avant l’heure de prise en charge prévue, vous serez remboursé du montant prépayé, moins des frais d’annulation jusqu’à concurrence de 165,00 AUD.
• Si la valeur de la réservation est inférieure aux frais d'annulation, aucun montant supplémentaire ne vous sera facturé et vous n'aurez droit à aucun remboursement.
• Si vous n'annulez pas votre réservation avant l'heure de prise en charge et que si ne prenez pas possession du véhicule à la date de prise en charge, les frais pour défaillance de l'intégralité du montant prépayé seront perdus.
• Les montants indiqués ci-dessus comprennent la TPS.

Pour garantir un début de voyage sans encombre, nos véhicules sont loués avec un plein de carburant. Nous apprécierions que le véhicule soit également rendu avec un réservoir plein, mais si cela n’est pas possible, des frais de ravitaillement seront applicables. L’option de carburant prépayé est proposée sur certains sites et le tarif exact du ravitaillement sera disponible lors de la prise en charge du véhicule.

Les véhicules électriques doivent être restitués avec une charge d’au moins 77 %, sinon vous devrez payer des frais de recharge.

Can I pick up the vehicle from one rental location and return it to another?
Yes, some rental locations let you collect the vehicle and any optional extras from one rental location and return them to another.
How much is the One-Way fee?
The price depends on the rental location. If you want to pick up the vehicle and return it to a different location in the same country, you can expect it to be between 15 EUR and 33,21 EUR. If you want to pick up the vehicle in one country and drop it off in another country, you can expect it to be between 100 EUR and 4.500 EUR.
How do I get a One-Way rental?
You can request a one-way rental when you book or you can ask for it when you get to the rental location.
If you asked for a one-way rental when you booked, the fee will be included in your rental price.
How much will it cost if I did not request a One-Way rental but return the vehicle to a different location?
You will be charged a one-way fee at the pay at location prices available on the day you return the vehicle.

Customers with disabilities

I have a disability, do you offer adapted vehicles?
Yes, specially adapted vehicles are available at some of our rental locations. Please call the Reservations team for more information.
I have a disability, do you offer hand controls?
No, regrettably, we do not currently offer hand controls or panoramic mirrors at this time.

Popular optional extras to rent

I have small children, do you offer child seats?
Yes, we offer baby, infant, and child seats. A baby seat is typically suitable for a child from birth to 12 months old and weighing no more than 13 kilos. An infant seat is typically suitable for a child aged 9 months to 4 years old and weighing between 9 and 18 kilos. A child seat is typically suitable for a child aged 4 to 12 years old and weighing between 15 and 36 kilos.
In some rental locations, we may arrange for a third party to fit the seat for you. But remember, it is always your responsibility to check the seat is fitted correctly before you drive away.
Please note: In the Germany, all children must normally use a child car seat until they are 12 years old or 150 cm tall.
How much are your child seats?
The fee for renting a seat will depend on where you're renting but you can expect it to cost between EUR 13.00 and EUR 16.31 a day. If you rent the vehicle for more than 6 days, you'll only be charged for a maximum EUR 86.59 and get to use the seat for the duration of your rental, up to 28 days.
If the seat is damaged, lost or stolen, and if you are responsible for that, you will have to pay for a replacement. The costs of this are based on the replacement value and based on experience, range between EUR 80.00 and EUR 200.00 plus the rental costs.
I am not familiar with the area; can I rent a GPS (satellite navigation system)?
Yes, the fee for renting a GPS will depend on where you're renting but you can expect it to cost between EUR 11.00 and EUR 13.80 a day. If you rent the vehicle for more than 14 days, you will only be charged for a maximum of 14 days and get to use the GPS for the duration of your rental, up to 28 days.

If the GPS is damaged, lost or stolen, and if you are responsible for that, you will have to pay for a replacement. The costs of this are based on the replacement value and based on experience, range between 209.00 EUR and 260.00 EUR plus the rental costs.
Please note: In some countries, it is against the law to use a GPS that tells you where speed cameras are. It is illegal in Germany. If you rent a GPS from us, it won't give you speed camera information.
Do you offer an audio tour guide service on your GPS?
Yes, it is available with the Travel Companion Full Version at selected stations.
I want to be able to access the internet anywhere I go, do you offer a solution?
Yes, we offer Travel Companion Full Version at selected stations. Here you can connect to 5 devices with unlimited data usage and unlimited international calls. We provide this service on behalf of a third party so you will need to read and agree to separate terms and conditions with them. This terms and conditions have to be signed by yourself on the device at time of rental.
Please note: In many countries, including the Germany, it is illegal to drive while using a handheld mobile phone, tablet or other communications device. It is your responsibility to drive safely and according to the laws of the country you are driving in.
How much does Travel Companion Full version cost?
The fee for hiring Travel Companion Full version will depend on where you're renting but you can expect it to be between EUR 13.80 and EUR 16.80 a day. If you rent the vehicle for more than 14 days, you'll only be charged for a maximum of 14 days and get to use the Travel Companion Full Version (TCT) for the duration of your rental, up to 28 days.
If the mobile Travel Companion device is damaged, lost or stolen, and if you are responsible for that, you will have to pay for a replacement. The costs of this are based on the replacement value and based on experience, amount to EUR 260.00 plus the rental costs.
If any mobile accessories are damaged, lost or stolen, and if you are responsible for that, you will have to pay for a replacement. The costs of this are expected to range between EUR 10.00 and EUR 150.00 plus the rental costs.
I am intending to drive along toll roads; do you offer a device to make this quicker and easier for me?
No, unfortunately we do not offer any electronic toll charging devices at this time.

Winter equipment to rent

I am concerned about the road conditions, do you offer all-weather tyres?
Yes, if the rental location you are hiring from is in an area where it’s illegal to drive without all-weather tyres at certain times of year, the vehicle will automatically be supplied with them and the fee will be included in your rental fee or contract.
We can also supply all-weather tyres for a fee. This will depend on where you’re renting but you can expect it to be between 15 EUR and 18,70 EUR a day. If you rent the vehicle for more than 10 days, you will only be charged for a maximum of 10 days and get to use the all-weather tyres for the duration of your rental, up to 28 days.

During winter season (15 November to 15 March), our rental vehicles in germany are equipped with winter tyres. The fee for this is already included in the rental price (deviations possible for business customers).
If any all-weather tyre is damaged, lost or stolen, and if you are responsible for that, you will have to pay for a replacement pair. The costs of this are based on the replacement value and based on experience, amount to EUR 150.00 and EUR 400.00 plus the rental costs.
In the event that your rental does not already contain all-weather tyres and you want to have these tyres, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. If you need them at shorter notice, please call the Reservations team.

I am going skiing, do you offer snow chains?
Yes, if the rental location you are hiring from is in an area where it is illegal to drive without Snow Chains or all-weather tyres at certain times of year, the vehicle will automatically be supplied with snow chains and the fee will be included in your rental fee. You can ask not to have these but we recommend that you take either snow chains or all-weather tyres at these locations.
Snow chains are also available in some other rental locations. The fee for snow chains depends on where you are renting but you can expect it to be between 72.00 EUR and 90.35 EUR a rental.
If any snow chain is damaged, lost or stolen, you will have to pay for a replacement pair. The costs of this are based on the replacement value and based on experience, rate between 69 EUR and 100 EUR plus rental costs.
We can not fit snow chains for you, and we can not arrange for them to be fitted.

I want to keep the vehicle for longer, what should I do?
If you want to extend the rental please contact us as soon as possible. At the latest, this should be before the end date and time on your rental agreement. Extra days will be charged at pay at location prices.

What happens if I do not extend the rental?
If you fail to extend your rental and are late returning the vehicle, we will charge you for an extra day’s rental plus a late return administration fee for each day or part of a day until the vehicle is returned.

If you fail to extend your rental and are late returning the vehicle, we will on the third day after your agreed return date pre-authorise payment for an additional 5 days' rental charge on your debit card or, 10 days if you are using a credit card, at "pay at location" prices. If you return the vehicle within those 5 or 10 days (whichever applies), you will only be charged for your actual rental days, plus any other charges you owe us.
If you fail to return your vehicle as agreed, we will also charge you a late return administration fee for each day or part of a day until the vehicle is returned.
The late return administration fee is 15 EUR per day. You retain the right to prove that a damage or loss has not occurred or that the damage or loss occurred is considerably lower than the late return administration fee.

International journeys outside Germany are permitted for certain countries but generally require prior approval by Avis.
If approved by Avis, a Cross Border Fee (CBF) is payable. This amounts to Euro 9.41 per day, and maximum Euro 43.92 per rental.

What countries am I allowed to take the vehicle to?

You are only allowed to use the vehicle in the following countries: Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Finland, Liechtenstein, Great Britain, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Ireland, Luxemburg, Monaco, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, San Marino, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia.

Entries into Italy (I), Czech Republic (CZ), Croatia (HR), France (F), Hungary (H), Poland (PL), Slovakia (SK) and Slovenia (SLO) are not allowed for vehicles of car group F.
Porsche vehicles may be driven in Germany (D), Austria (A) and Switzerland (CH) only.
It is prohibited driving our vehicles into Albania (AL), Azerbaijan (AZ), Bulgaria (BG), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH), Belarus (BY), Cyprus (CY), Estonia (EST), Georgia (GE), Greece (GR), Iceland (IS), Kazakhstan (KZ), Kosovo (RKS), Latvia (LV), Lithuania (LT), Malta (M), Macedonia (MK), Moldavia (MD), Montenegro (MNE), Romania (RO), Russia (RUS), Serbia (SRB), Turkey (TR), Ukraine (UA) and any country outside continental Europe.
Nor is it permitted to use our vehicles on the Balearic Islands, Canaries, Corsica, Crete, Sardinia

Any infringement of or non-compliance with any of the above provisions shall entitle Avis to terminate the rental agreement without notice or to withdraw from the rental agreement. Claims for compensation by the renter are excluded in such a case. Avis's entitlement to compensation for any damage incurred as a result of the violation of any of the above provisions shall remain unaffected.

Can I buy a product to allow me to drive in other countries?

No, regrettably, we do not offer any products which enable you to drive in other countries.

Please note entries into France (F), Italy (I), Czech Republic (CZ), Croatia (HR), Hungary (H), Poland (PL), Slovakia (SK) and Slovenia (SLO) are not allowed for vehicles of car group F. 

The vehicle rental price is calculated based on your requested start and end dates and times, the rental location(s) and the type of vehicle you request. Unless stated otherwise, the price also includes all costs you must pay, for example, administration fees, GST, Vehicle Registration Fee (VRF) and any location surcharges.

Avis Australia may require a customer renting a vehicle to complete a Rental Qualification Form and provide additional identification as it deems necessary or appropriate or in accordance with applicable law. When renting a vehicle from the Signature Series range specific Terms and Conditions apply.

• Debit cards are not permitted.
• At the start of your rental, a hold will be placed on your card for the total estimated rental charges plus an additional pre-authorisation of $200 on credit card.
• Drivers must hold a full valid drivers licence (not being a learners or provisional licence) and be over 25 years of age.
• Local Renters - The Local Airport Qualification Form must be completed with 2 contact telephone numbers. A second form of identification will be required for your booking. You will be required to provide proof of your current address that matches your current driver¿s licence. An example of the acceptable form of ID is a current utility or phone bill.
• Interstate one-way rentals are not permitted on Signature Series vehicles.

Area of Use Restrictions

Restrictions may apply if you intend to take the vehicle outside the local area in which it is being collected. Local driving conditions and restrictions vary between locations, so you must contact the pickup location prior to your rental date for further information. During the ski season, vehicles may not be taken above the snowline (unless advised otherwise). Please contact your selected location for further information.

You and any Authorised Driver must not, unless authorised in writing by Avis drive or take the Vehicle:

IN QUEENSLAND

• On Highway No. 27: beyond Chillagoe in a westerly direction

• On Highway No. 1: beyond Normanton in a southerly direction and no further north than Karumba

• Beyond Cooktown to the north or Lakeland to the west and no further north than Cape Tribulation on the Coast Rd

• On a coastal road north of Cape Tribulation, unless the vehicle is a 4WD vehicle

• On the Bloomfield Track north of Cape Tribulation

IN NEW SOUTH WALES

• Above the snow line; being Jindabyne, from the beginning of June until the end of September

IN VICTORIA

• Above the snow line; being Bright, from the beginning of June until the end of September

IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

• On the Kalumburu Rd, Tanami Rd, Canning Stock Route, Gunbarrel Hwy and Holland Track

• On the Gibb River Rd, Broome-Cape Leveque Rd, Bungle Bungles, Karijini National Park and Windjana Gorge unless the vehicle is a four-wheel drive
